Sadly, when something extraordinary or unthinkable happens, human beings can be afflicted with cognitive dissonance, “ the mental discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes.” So it is with us in America.
On the one hand we want to believe in an orderly world in which anything out of the ordinary can be presumed to be a baseless conspiracy theory. On the other hand is the nagging belief of something terribly wrong that we should finally do something about before disaster strikes.
So let us finally face some irrefutable facts. The U.S. border crisis with the unfinished wall did not just happen on its own; it was effected and supported by this administration which in eight months, has tried to overhaul not only America’s history, values and constitutional freedoms, but American national security itself.
Tens of thousands of people are now streaming over our borders, many of them criminals, many with poisonous drugs, COVID 19 and possible terrorists, and they are being bussed by the Biden administration all over America. The latest news is the Haitian surge with thousands huddled under a Texas border bridge and with border guards now overwhelmed. The administration is saying they are flying them back to Haiti, but they are also bussing them to parts unknown.
So we now have two ongoing and enormous crises at the same time. And as we know, during all of this mayhem, Vice President, Kamala Harris assigned to handle the border crisis, did absolutely nothing. She too clearly illustrates that doing nothing about an important problem is not “incompetence,” its a choice!
And so it goes with the Afghanistan catastrophe. We have been led to believe that this inconceivable mess was all due to the “incompetence” of Joe Biden. Sadly, we cannot bear to think that it too, might have been a choice and not happenstance. “This is just too extreme,” we comfort ourselves. But what could be more extreme than the multiple crises of the supposedly unplanned Afghanistan pullout –on top of the border crisis?
The fact is that an incompetent regime is in practicality an enemy regime. -and based on the danger it imposes, it should be regarded as such, even if the true intent cannot be established.
We are watching our country being destroyed before our eyes, defamed and humiliated in the eyes of the world, with NATO much weakened. People who have no real respect for our Constitution are using its rules to let the damage proceed. Try to call them out and the phony cry of “racism” goes up.
Indeed, President Biden could not have harmed America more if each horrific phase of what has unfolded in Aghanistan had been competently planned. First there was the order for our military to sneak out of Bagram Air Base in the middle of the night without telling anyone and leaving all sorts of vehicles and ordinance behind. Supposedly this was due to “security concerns.”
Bagram Air base was ideally situated for allowing the U.S. to spy on Russia, China and Iran. Now our worst enemy, China, is eyeing it for themselves. Security concerns? Most of all the military should have been the last to depart for the protection of Americans as well as NATO and Afghan allies still in country.
Without proper plans for the removal of massive weaponry and military accoutrements, Biden managed to furnish an enemy state with about 80 billions in advanced military weaponry, guns, multi-purpose vehicles, Black Hawk helicopters and such as they could never have dreamed of. Meanwhile he has yet to answer why he ignored intelligence of the Taliban’s rapid advance.
Consequently, Mr. Biden, who has admitted to taking instruction on which reporters to call and exactly when he should leave the podium, and who has his mike cut off when he flounders, has raised the question for us of just who is pulling this puppet’s strings?
Wondering the same thing is Senator Tom Cotton ® AR. He has offered that it wouldn’t surprise him if the puppeteer behind Biden was Susan Rice, in his words, “…the Typhoid Mary of the Obama era foreign Policy.” Under Biden, the famous Benghazi-gate liar is head of the Domestic Policy Council, which, now has overlap with the National Security Council. Cotton says Rice was involved in almost every single fiasco from Benghazi, Syria, the Iran nuclear deal and spying on Donald Trump’s campaign.”
Richard Grenell, the former acting director of National Intelligence under President Trump, concurs with Cotton. He said in an interview with CPAC that he believes Susan Rice has assumed the role of a “shadow president… and no one is paying attention.”
And if the notorious Benghazi-gate liar, Susan Rice, is the “shadow president,” could Biden’s old pal and running mate, Barack Obama, now blending into the background, actually be in the foreground? Remember him?
He’s the man who traded five of the worst terrorists in GITMO for the traitor Bowe Berghdale, with no explanation to the public.
If you wonder why this 2014 episode still matters, read the August 2021 New York Post account of how the five terrorists that Obama released “used Qatar as a base to form a regime in exile” and were “eventually recognized by Western diplomats as official representatives of the Taliban during “peace” talks. Indeed, “The mastermind of the regime change is former detainee Khairkhwa, the Taliban mullah whom Obama released from Git-mo even though the Pentagon classified him as too dangerous to release.”
In 2014 the House held hearings on the exchange. At that time, Ted Poe, who chaired the subcommittee on terrorism stated that, “releasing five senior Taliban commanders may have put the lives of our senior service members and Americans around the world at risk. Predicted Poe, “They may help out the Taliban while they are in Qatar, and it’s very likely that all of them will end up fighting alongside the Taliban in Afghanistan later in the year.
Also mentioned in the hearing is how Obama did the whole exchange in a surreptitious manner that evaded the usual procedures of notifying Congress and the Pentagon.
Obama’s connections with the Muslim Brotherhood have been long affirmed. In 2013 Investors Business Daily, in its article “Muslim brotherhood infiltrates the Obama administration,” reported in detail how “… at least six American Islamist activists who work closely with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism and the Center for Security Policy in Washington.”
The article also stated: “… bear in mind that the FBI in 2004 uncovered the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s strategic plan to infiltrate the U.S. government and sabotage it “from within” during a raid of a Brotherhood operative’s home in the D.C. suburb of Annandale on suspicion of terrorist activities. The stated goal, of the document: turn America into an Islamic nation.”
The article continues, “that, despite media dismissals of the Brotherhood as a “benign” group, it is in fact the parent group of Al-Qaida and played a role in the 9/11 plot. The hijackers got support from several Muslim Brotherhood mosques across the country.”
This is only one of many similar articles that appeared a few years ago showing the association of the Left with the Muslim Brotherhood. .In 2016, The Hill ran an article noting that Hillary’s aide, Huma Abedin, was virtually a Muslim Brotherhood princess. Have we also forgotten that Congress now has plenty of evidence that Obama, Biden and Hillary were behind the phony Russia-gate coup to bring down Trump?
Thereafter Trump, in his weakened presidency. did not go after this “Biden-Obamagate ” duo with Hillary and all their treacherous stooges in the CIA and FBI that conspired to bring him down. Some “dictator!” In fact, all these schemers are still riding high — every traitorous one of them!
Meanwhile, let’s turn to something newer –like an August 17, 2021 NPR article discussing bi-partisan disapproval of Biden’s actions in congress. Here, the comment of Rep Steve Chabot ® Ohio, was particularly interesting.
Calling the administration’s actions a “travesty” Chabot stated that “…history is repeating itself. Obama “was warned not to pull all troops out of Iraq. He did that. The result was ISIS and innocent people being murdered, thousands and thousands in U.S. troops having to be sent back in,” he said. “Unfortunately, we’re seeing a very similar, virtually the exact same thing here in Afghanistan. This president, President Biden, was warned. He decided to ignore those warnings.”
Was there a plan for evacuating Americans?
One of the major eye-openers for many people is that there does not seem to have been even a rudimentary plan for how to evacuate Americans left behind, or the Afghans who had helped them once the Afghan pullout of U.S. troops began. In fact,, there was one, at least for the Americans– Donald Trump’s plan.
In their September 2 article “Biden Surrendered to the Taliban; The GOP Must Not Surrender to Biden,” David Horowitz and Daniel Greenfield point out that “…the Biden State Department moved in June to cancel a Trump program overseeing the protection and evacuation of American citizens stationed overseas in the case of an emergency. This was just as the Taliban was taking over Afghanistan, according to an internal State Department memo obtained by the Washington Free Beacon and multiple sources familiar with the matter.”
If there was no Biden plan at all, some rather strange things seems to be happening particularly with regard to Afghans. Wrote the NY Post, “Some 20,000 pro-American Afghans and their families are in danger of being killed by the Taliban because the president refused to speed up the bureaucratic, 14-step visa application process and medical exam required for them to evacuate to the United States. It’s death by red tape.”
Afghan Exodus to the U.S.
But don’t think for a minute that many Afghans haven’t been coming here by the planeload without visas. Unvetted Afghans, some with child brides, have poured into this country and are being sheltered at various army bases in a scene of mass confusion. Indeed, many more are expected. Of course Europe is refusing them, having already experienced that Afghans who following draconian Sharia laws do not pay much attention to their own laws.
Kentucky Rep. James Comer, the top Republican on the House Oversight and Reform committee, wrote to the secretaries of state and homeland security, “In the chaotic situation left in the wake of the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, we are particularly concerned that terrorists and others who wish to harm the United States may seek to infiltrate the country disguised as those who provided assistance to coalition forces in Afghanistan.”
Also stating concerns in this regard have been Senators Bill Haggerty ® Tenn., Tom Cotton ® AR, and Marsha Blackburn ® Tenn, and 24 of their congressional colleagues, who wrote to Biden on Sept 2. “You say that more than 123,000 individuals have been evacuated from Afghanistan in recent weeks (nearly half of whom were evacuated by groups or countries other than the United States), but only an estimated 5,500 “self-identified” American citizens (4.5% of the total evacuees) were evacuated or left [the country] on their own.
“Further, while it does not appear that you have released exact numbers of our Afghan partners who were evacuated, your administration has publicly confirmed that fewer than 50% of evacuated Afghans were Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants or their families.”
Do be aware meanwhile, that it was the biometric equipment left by the U.S. to the Taliban that has likely allowed the tracking of Afghan U.S. allies. And of course the Taliban is also likely using that same equipment to hunt Americans.
Remarkably, there are even reports by Politico and Forbes that the U.S. has trusted the Taliban to the extent that the names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies have been given to the Taliban, in order, supposedly, “to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport.” This was a move of such stupidity that it has prompted outrage behind the scenes from both lawmakers and military officials.”
Growing Rift over Afghans in the Republican Party
Not surprisingly, while Americans have chorused approval of Afghan immigration, a rift has opened in the Republican Party over this important issue. As noted by the Associated Press, Trump and his followers, initially applauding the rescue of Afghan allies, have begun to realize that it’s not the Afghan allies who are mainly coming here.
While conservatives have no objection to the religion of Islam with its many beautiful tenets , there is deep concern over its radical, 7th century component, Sharia law, which is virtually the polar opposite of the U.S. Constitution.
One wonders if these unvetted Afghans are getting any information that in America women are considered equal and and free, dress as they like and work alongside men. Moreover, the U.S. sanctions only one wife at a time. The age of consent for marriage is generally 16 with parental consent and 18 without it and wife-beating, endemic in Afghanistan, earns a jail sentence here. Same sex marriage is accepted in all 50 states. and divorce and not stoning is the only remedy for adultery.
Meanwhile, we Americans are supposed to buy that cognitively challenged Joe must remain in place, because should he be removed, feckless Harris, widely heralded as the most radical leftist in Congress, or poisonous, power mad, Speaker Pelosi will inherit his presidential robes.
Yes it would be nice if Biden resigned as almost 40 Republicans called for him to do on August 26, for his stranding Americans and abandoning U.S. military gear in Afghanistan. But as Horowitz and Greenfield fear, the Republicans are divided.
They also need to get their act together — and soon. Horowitz and Greenfield are right in stating that not only does Joe have to go but the entire team. This is not just because of the damage team Biden has already done, but because of what they can still do in the future. .
The Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights were created to to protect us, the American people, not to serve as the bulwark for those unfit for office, whose beliefs and actions run contrary to its very tenets.
Certainly much of our military gets it. That’s why, on August 31. “Nearly 90 retired generals and other military figures told Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark A. Milley to resign Tuesday for “negligence in performing their duties” ahead of the chaotic evacuation from Afghanistan.”
The letter of these patriotic veterans recognized and stated that, as principal advisers to Mr. Biden, Mr. Austin and Gen. Milley “should have recommended against this dangerous withdrawal in the strongest possible terms” and even resigned if necessary.
But do not expect that either “honor” or common sense persists with these men. Recall that Austin has instituted an army purge of the military to weed out Trump supporters, and Joint Chief Mark Milley, according to a new book by Bob Woodward and Rob Costa, called a Chinese counterpart, General Li Zuocheng, days before the 2020 election – and again on Jan. 8, and assured Li the United States was not going to attack and, if there were to be an attack, he would alert his counterpart ahead of time. The authors of the report claim to have 200 sources.
These lawmakers swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and whether by incompetence or design, they have betrayed that oath. One would think that the Biden team cannot hide behind the Constitution to destroy the nation the Constitution upholds. Yet that is exactly what we are witnessing.
It seems to even seemingly reasonable members of congress, like Mitch McConnel, that we are in checkmate with the present regime. Get rid of Biden, you still have Harris, heralded earlier as the furthest left member of the Senate. She could also choose a VP much worse than Biden. Impeachment of Biden likely won’t pass. Neither, likely, will the treason amendment to the Constitution, much weakened by the abundance of caution exercised by our forefathers in preventing its abuse.
Americans should be cognizant that Obama-Biden-Hillary were the central trio involved earlier Russia-gate attempted coup against Trump and it was Obama who allegedly introduced the internet accessible Dominion voting machines.
